The
1st Official Shot Back Presented by
InsanAsylum Productions, Houston, Texas. On
March 16th Lloyd Banks on MTV stated that
the South "...doesn't know what they
talk about" in our music and that
"... (we) don't take the time to make
it the highest quality possible...we (are)
hurting Hip Hop." What hurts Hip Hop
is flakiness, over glamorization of
material, misogynistic lyrics, lack of
creative and the glorification of violence
and drug addictive behavior. Lloyd Banks
is jealous; we get that, thus the Mixtape
"Whatchu Talkn Bout? - VOL I"
hosted by The REAL RASHEED with original
production by InsanAsylum's G-MAN, Sinima
& RC of CIDEWAYZ productions.
The proliferation of such a damaging rant
leaves open the question...why the South?
The fact that Young Buck is from Tennessee
must have been an oversight right? UNLESS
Lloyd doesn't feel he's TRULY apart of his
Batman & Robin tag team, 50 being
Batman and Lloyd Banks being Robin. Look,
G-UNIT was originally 50, Domination &
Bang 'Em Smurf. Once Jam Master Jay was
killed, Rest In Peace Originator, followed
by Tony Yayo's incarceration 50 was
down to only him and Lloyd so along comes
Young Buck. Then The Game. The Game got
his and dipped! Young Buck negotiated his
side deals and will be dipping. Tony Yayo
is still there as is Lloyd...but
realistically what do they have to show
for it huh? The Game's got Black Wall
Street and TRUE street creed so he'll
always eat. Young Buck's is getting his
OWN label off the ground plus he's
got TRUE street creed. Lloyd and got
nothing but his mouth and 50's handouts.
His jealousy begins there and ends with
his out burst against the South. So much
so that the powers that be have blocked
access to the MTV Video Archived On Line
footage of the interview and HipHopDX has
de activated the link (as of this writing
- 30 SEP 06). The South has always
been about party music because of the
conditions of socio-economic inequality.
Being rural in nature and not urban in
makeup makes for different experiences,
different influences, different lingo, and
different vibes! Hip Hop is about
expression without the use of violence,
offering a creative outlet for the youth.
His attack on the South only plays into
Corporate interest just like the East
Coast vs. West Coast did. At the time
of that "war" there were
Independent labels and MC/Entrepreneurs
raking in MILLIONS without radio or
Corporate sponsorships. The artist of
the the West Coast were doing
collaborations and compilations with each
other without lawyers, publishing
companies, publicist, A&R reps and
managers. Thus EVERYONE was
eating...hearty. Once the "war"
broke out the independent artist got
gobbled up! The indie labels shriveled up.
The South is facing the same situation
right now...and eating like Kings &
Queens should! The grind in the North is
different than the South...but the money
is the same! Why would anyone make a
blanket statement about a whole region and
not expect to be set straight? That's what
this Mixtape is about...setting the record
straight...there are TRUE EMCEES that'll
tongue twist dat ass like a piece of
licorice...ROBIN! Oh...and by the
way Floyd Ain't..we took are time with
this project so make sure you listen to
EVERY LYRIC and EVERY CUT ya lil punk! We
know you ain't the only one hating up
there either, so if anyone else got
something ta say...speak!! For we
definitely got more fluff ta blaze and
words ta say! SO watch "WHATCHU
TALKN' BOUT?" D.R.E.A.D.

only !!! Otis
Jackson
Otis presents classic original R&B
love songs in the classic balladeer style.
His powerful voice resonates with silky,
smooth soul inspired by Barry White, Isaac
Hayes and Teddy Pendergrass. Combines easy
listening 'old skool' with a Funk groove.
Bio: Otis Jackson is a Balladeer. Otis
Jackson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana,
and moved to Oxnard, California with his
family when he was a young boy. While
attending school, he sang in the choir,
the A Cappella choir, and also sang lead
in the church choir. As a teen, he entered
several talent shows, singing R & B
and ballads, winning top honors each time.
He soon was noticed and wooed by several
record labels, including Double Shot and
Motown, signing with Royal Crest Records
and recording Lease On My Heart. Otis has
performed on shows and toured extensively
throughout the United States with several
popular acts. The Whispers, Ike and Tina
Turner, O C Smith, Lou Rawls, Charles
Wright and the 103rd Street Watts Band are
a few of the acts with which he has
performed. He was signed with Mega Records
and recorded "Message To The
Ghetto". He toured for a few more
years and made the unselfish decision to
take a sabbatical from music to help raise
his family. When his sons were teens and
showed an interest in the field of
entertainment, Otis started an independent
record label, Crate Diggas Palace Records
(CDP Records), invested in his sons and
their crew (the Lootpack (inclusive of
Madlib, Wild Child and DJ Romes), Oh No,
Declaime, Kankick, Medaphoar, God"s
Gift, and Kazi) and helped to groom and
guide their development in the music of
their choice, Underground Hip Hop. Now
that his sons, Madlib and Oh No the
Disrupt, are on their own and doing well
with their producing, rapping and
DJing, Otis and his wife, Sinesca
Faddis-Jackson, have completed a
collection of R & B love songs
beautifully encapsulated in an album
entitled "The Art of Love". His
two sons, Madlib and Oh No the Disrupt,
who have produced and performed nationally
and globally and are well known in the
Underground Hip Hop genre all over the
world, were asked by Otis to join in the
project and produce their creative remixes
of a couple of songs to be featured on the
album. "The Art of Love" was
created from this family collaboration.
Otis Jackson is now poised to burst out of
obscurity with this collection of love
songs. Otis takes a classic balladeer
style and incorporates it with a fusion of
funky base lines and melodic guitar to
soothe the senses. He exudes emotion.
Soulful and deep, his vocalizations expose
his heartfelt emotions of love. He takes
the listener through a soulful journey of
life and love. He pulls at your
heartstrings through his love songs with
"Look What You Have Done To My
Heart". Imagine being curled up on a
big fluffy bear rug or overstuffed sofa in
front of a fireplace with the one you
love. "Don't Ya' Know It's Getting
Better" expresses a timely
sophistication and dedication of this very
talented singer. Otis' R & B style has
a soulful essence that allows you to enjoy
easy listening combined with a Funk groove
like no other. Do you want to feel a
little Funk with an old school flavor?
Spin "It's All The Same".
"The Art of Love" is the answer
to love songs for the lovers out there who
want to be in love, who are in love, and
those who were in love at some point in
their lives and want to remember it.

Sebastian
Lorefice Keyboardist and Composer
Keyboardist and composer Sebastian
Lorefice has been an active and well
respected member of Australia?s musical
community for the last fifteen years.
Based in Melbourne his career has
encapsulated two streams of achievement.
The first, a career as an educator and
academic that has spanned a decade. The
second as a performer and composer that
began in the early eighties. As an
educator Sebastian Lorefice has shared his
vast knowledge at several of Melbourne's
leading tertiary institutions. He has been
involved in teaching jazz and popular
styles as well as principal study, group
performance, improvisation and theory.
Academic highlights include a Bachelor of
Arts Degree with first class honours and
distinctions for performance related
subjects. These subjects involved
interpretations of jazz standards and
original compositions. This was either in
a solo or ensemble context. During his
studies at La-Trobe University (under the
guidance of such luminaries as Dr Jeff
Pressing, Professor Keith Humble, Lawrence
Whiffin and Joan Lawrence). Sebastian also
has performed in a variety of professional
ensembles. Later taking lessons from the
great MickyTucker. Pop, Folk, Funk,
Jazz-Rock, Modern Jazz, all styles have
been performed and approached with an
historical overview resulting in an
accurate interpretation. He has performed
at such venues as the Grainstore, State
Theatre, Billboard, The Hilton and The
Melbourne Arts Festival. From a personal
view his contemporaries have described him
as "extremely knowledgeable",
"a gifted composer and
performer", "he possesses
excellent instrumental skills",
"a skilled arranger and teacher"
and "liked by all". From 1997 to
this point in time (2005) Sebastian has
dedicated his time to composing. His days
of performing in bands ended in 1997 after
realizing he had gone full circle from his
very beginnings in the early eighties.
After this change of direction in the late
90?s, Sebastian?s output as a composer
has been prolific and diverse. This has
involved recordings in several studios and
a concentration in creating a repertoire
that isn?t one dimensional. Styles such
as: Contemporary Jazz; Smooth Jazz ;
Ambient ; Pop; Urban; Dance; Rock; Funk ;
Classical and Electronica have been
featured . These ideas have culminated
towards producing a large number of demos
for submission and three CD?s. The first
" CONSCIOUS ELEMENTS " with
fusion ensemble RPM. The second, an ep
titled " SAMMY " which featured
Santana inspired guitarist Paul Scodella
and the current " SHORT STORIES,
INFINITE CORRIDORS. Future

NazB (Michael Ikenna Ozigbo), aka
Nazodobas, comes from hip-hop's Newest
School---he's an international artist,
with international experience and an
international message. His lyrics are
filled with wisdom gained from his real
life experiences on the streets of Ghana,
Mali,Senegal, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso,
South Africa, Suriname, English Guyana,
Brazil, and Europe. The 25-year old Naz
left his native Nigeria as a teenager to
begin his world travels.Like many young
men on their own with only a secondary
school education, Naz would occasionally
turn to petty crime to support himself.
Thru all his struggles, Naz had one
positive thing in his life: his love of
hip-hop music. Inspired by artists such as
2-Pac, Ja Rule, Nas, Dog Pound and Dr Dre,
Naz performed in local clubs and venues
whenever he could, and and put his
experiences into his lyrics. Naz was
living on the street in Sao Paulo, Brazil
when he realized he deserved a better
future. He decided he would go to Europe,
and devote himself 100% into his
music.Three months later, Naz found
himself in Zuerich, Switzerland, and was
quickly able to establish a network of
talented musicians & producers from
around Europe,he was also able to get
beats from known-producers from the United
States. It's this broad range of talent
that gives his debut album, "Money in
the Game" so much power. The 14
tracks on the CD reflect not only his time
living the street life, but also his
thoughts on race, religion, politics,
poverty, and love. The songs give respect
gangsta rap, but also includes music that
shows his African roots. In addition, Naz
B performs in local switzerland clubs, and
is already working on his second album.
AfricaLink Magazine called Naz B "a
raw diamond" (April/May 2006 issue).
He's working every day to polish that
diamond so the brilliance of his art &
message can shine for the world to see. www.nazb.com

Pop
rock
maestro
Laura
Lambert
is
always
busy ..
busy
crafting
songs
that
speak
right to
the
heart
and
leave
listeners
hungering
for more
yet
strangely
satisfied.
To hear
a
Lambert
song is
to feel
that one
has come
to know
the
artist
intimately.
It stems
from
strong
songwriting
talent,
introspection
and
artistic
honesty
on the
part of
Lambert.
She
works at
each
song,
imbuing
it with
her
personality
and
sharing
the
ideas
that are
important
to her.
To hear
her
music is
to feel
those
ideas
and
understand
their
importance.
Truth is
vital to
Lambert's
work.
Alive
Music is
the good
version
of Dr.
Frankenstein.
It makes
you, the
listener,
feel
alive
vicariously
through
the
passion
of the
artist.
"Music
makes me
feel
comforted,
inspired,
hopeful,
not
alone,
connected.
It's
really
what
keeps me
going".
Music is
food; it
is
sustenance
that
helps
keep the
world
spinning.
It
shines
light in
corners
and
makes us
all
better
people.
With
this in
mind,
Lambert
strives
to write
songs
that are
inspiring
and
motivating
and
which
help us
understand
ourselves
more
fully.

Medicine
Music is
a
healer.
Its
melodies
and
words
bring
healing
and
catharsis
when
presented
by one
who is
in
control
of his
or her
talents,
who
knows
how to
manipulate
the
creative
process
into
producing
quality
work
that
speaks
with
honesty
and
understanding.
"Music,
in all
forms,
is
medicine
for our
souls.
That is
what
makes it
so
universal.
It has
the
power to
pick us
up in
our
darkest
hour,
plant
seeds of
hope and
inspiration
in our
hearts
and lift
us up
into the
light.
Music is
my
oxygen,
the air
I
breathe;
it's
what
keeps me
alive!"
Talent
Lambert
finds
her
inspiration
in the
talent
of
others,
"true
artists
who are
blessed
with the
natural,
raw
ability
to sing
from
their
souls,
to write
a song,
a
melody,
that the
whole
world
sings
along
to"...
Music
itself
can
inspire
music
and such
is the
case
with
Lambert.
But
rather
than
merely
echoing
what she
has
heard
another
artist
perform,
Lambert
moves
forward
with her
inspiration
and
creates
things
that are
uniquely
hers.
Accomplishments

Lambert
has had
two
songs
featured
in the
movie
"Inconceivable,"
directed
by Bob

"I
