Biography:
Pop rock maestro Laura Lambert is always busy .. busy crafting songs that speak right to the heart and leave listeners hungering for more yet strangely satisfied. To hear a Lambert song is to feel that one has come to know the artist intimately. It stems from strong songwriting talent, introspection and artistic honesty on the part of Lambert. She works at each song, imbuing it with her personality and sharing the ideas that are important to her. To hear her music is to feel those ideas and understand their importance. Truth is vital to Lambert's work.

Alive

Music is the good version of Dr. Frankenstein. It makes you, the listener, feel alive vicariously through the passion of the artist. "Music makes me feel comforted, inspired, hopeful, not alone, connected. It's really what keeps me going". Music is food; it is sustenance that helps keep the world spinning. It shines light in corners and makes us all better people. With this in mind, Lambert strives to write songs that are inspiring and motivating and which help us understand ourselves more fully.

Medicine

Music is a healer. Its melodies and words bring healing and catharsis when presented by one who is in control of his or her talents, who knows how to manipulate the creative process into producing quality work that speaks with honesty and understanding. "Music, in all forms, is medicine for our souls. That is what makes it so universal. It has the power to pick us up in our darkest hour, plant seeds of hope and inspiration in our hearts and lift us up into the light. Music is my oxygen, the air I breathe; it's what keeps me alive!"

Talent

Lambert finds her inspiration in the talent of others, "true artists who are blessed with the natural, raw ability to sing from their souls, to write a song, a melody, that the whole world sings along to"... Music itself can inspire music and such is the case with Lambert. But rather than merely echoing what she has heard another artist perform, Lambert moves forward with her inspiration and creates things that are uniquely hers.

Accomplishments

Lambert has had two songs featured in the movie "Inconceivable," directed by Bob Weiss of Disney. Her song "I Don't Wanna Start Thinking About You" was used in the CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light". She's done session work with Raekwon "The Chef" of Wu Tang Clan. Lambert also nabbed the top slot out of 90 singers in an ABC competition. She opened for Steve Van Zandt (E Street Band, Sopranos), Danny Aiello and Paul Sorvino in Staten Island's Yankee Stadium and was the featured singer on a bill with G.E. Smith and the Saturday Night Live Band. Lambert is currently working with A&R Select, the leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.
